Adult Winter Reading 2025

Calling all readers for Adult Winter Reading! Whether you’re a speed reader or you take your stories slow and steady, this vintage-themed challenge is for you. Explore library collections and log your reading to earn tickets towards fabulous prizes.
Challenge runs December 1, 2025 - January 31, 2026.
This program is open to all participants ages 18+.
How it Works:
- Sign-up: Registration begins December 1, 2025.
- Sign-up on Beanstack (or in the Beanstack app) to digitally track your reading progress.
- Pen and Paper Option: Register and pick up a paper tracker at the front desk starting December 2nd.
- Be sure to pick-up your registration prize at the front desk! See more info below.
- Read: Read whatever and however you like! Dive back into your favorite series or explore new genres and formats. Borrow books from the library or a friend, and explore new collections and curated lists of award winning recommendations. Get a recommendation from a staff member or read reviews written by fellow Winter Readers.
- Earn Tickets: Log your reading on Beanstack to earn tickets towards raffle prizes. Earn extra tickets by logging the featured activities such as watching a movie based on a book or writing a book review.
- Enter: Challenge ends January 31, 2026.
- Be sure to enter your tickets toward raffle prizes by the end of the challenge! Winners will be notified after the challenge has ended.
Perks & Prizes:
- Registration Prize: All participants receive a CADL book light upon registration! Pick up at the front desk anytime during Winter Reading.
- Mini-Prize Basket: Earn picks from a prize basket for the 2nd, 4th, and 6th book you log! Visit the front desk to make your picks throughout the challenge.
- Raffle Prizes: Logging books and completing challenges earn you raffle tickets. Participants can choose which drawing(s) to put their tickets toward. Prize drawings will take place in February, at the end of the challenge.
